"Lynette played for us at a private party at very short notice due to a cancellation on the same day for which we cannot thank her enough! She stepped up to the mark brilliantly and was a big hit with all our guests. Despite the fact that we had never been fortunate enough to have met her previously, she accommodated our choices and tastes perfectly and we have been lucky enough to have seen her perform a few times since after we recommended her to our local club where she is always well received and great entertainment. We would not hesitate to book Lynette again and would highly recommend her as an entertainer. Best wishes, Sandra"  (10 / 10) Sandra & Roy Moorcroft

"I have known Lynette Frances as a professional vocalist and guitarist for about 7 years, and also seen her performing live. She possesses a number of different artistic skills, having a powerful voice, and being competent on guitar. Additionally, Lynette is a seasoned dancer, and can instruct in line dancing. As an entertainment agent, I have booked her in many venues, ranging from Social Clubs/Pubs to Corporate Events, and have never had any negative feedback; on the contrary, I am usually requested to re-book her for further dates. Lynette is polite and reliable, and always pays commission owing on time. Some of the venues where she has performed for my agency include:- Polegate Royal British Legion, Polegate East Sussex. Bexleyheath Conservative Club, Bexleyheath Kent. Blue Dolphin Caravan Park, Reculver, Kent. The Royal Hospital for Neuro Disability, Putney, London. The Bird in Hand Public House, Dartford Kent. ..and many more Richard Searles (Entertainment Agent)"  (10 / 10)Richard Searles

FAQs
How long have you been performing?

I started playing the drums/percussion and performing in local bands and at school from the age of 12. By the time I was 15 I was also playing guitars, writing my own songs and singing. I have performed solo, in duos, trios and bands over the years which has taken me all over the country and abroad. Lets just say its been more than 30 years.

What does it cost to hire you?

Costs vary depending on your requirements. My prices are very competitive and represent great value for money.

What sort of music do you play?

Just about every style and genre of popular music from the 1950s right through to present day. I have a huge repertoire of over 300 songs suitable for easy listening (restaurants, background situations, receptions etc) and high energy tunes for dancing and a fun lively atmosphere. Contact me and I will send you my latest upto date song list. I specialize in country music for easy listening and/or line dancing and  Ska music from 60s Trojan to 80s Ska.
I do also perform (when requested) my own original music which is acoustic pop/rock with undertones of country, jazz, latin and blues.
I will also learn a special song for your wedding or Line Dance Club etc, just let me know when you book.
I can perform acoustically (laid bare with just me and my guitar) or with full professional backing tracks.

Can you perform at my wedding?

Absolutely, I have performed at many weddings and civil ceremonies. I do not charge any extra just because its a wedding, but saying that there are usually extra costs as I am generally at weddings for much longer periods. I can provide all your entertainment needs including background music, a disco, live music, microphones for speeches etc and of course your chosen song for your first dance. A solo artist especially a vocalist/guitarist like myself can provide the same amount of energy, fun, atmosphere and vibe that a full band can.

I can also teach a basic beginners line or barn dance to your guests, its great fun and gets everyone joining in, just ask me about this when you enquire.

How long do you play for?

Normally 2 x 1 hour sets with a break in-between. However, every aspect of the performance can be tailored to your exact needs. Don't worry, I will take on responsibility for all the music including background music, live music and a disco if required.

Do you take requests?

I do indeed. If I know it I will play it, often times even when I don't I will give it a go and I'm not adverse to guest duets.

What equipment do you use & what do you wear on stage?

Professional 1kw sound system, top quality guitars, microphones and tablet/laptop for backing tracks and audio files, lighting and effects. My stage attire is always smart and compliments the occasion from elegant evening dresses to very smart casual and when appropriate cowgirl boots and hat.

How can I book you or make an enquiry, do I need to pay a deposit?

You can either send me a message or call me direct from my home page. I know how important your special day or event is and I am here to make sure that your entertainment requirements are exactly how you would like them. Yes you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit for weddings and private functions, usually 25% of the total cost to secure the booking, the remainder is paid on the day.

How long and what do you need to setup?

That varies but usually for weddings and bigger functions at least 1 hour to setup and soundcheck. For smaller functions, bars etc anything from 30-45mins. I will need a safe space, typically the smallest being about 7 ft by 5ft with a power point and no visible obstructions close-by. Somewhere to change, store empty equipment cases.

Can I see you perform before I book?

Yes please do by coming along to one of my many public performances of which I will advise you of the nearest one to you.
